Church Food Fair In Chichester Church Watched Lost Season 1
Got up and had breakfast with everyone. It was very unusual for us to have breakfast with 5 people in our kitchen! Alan and Viv were not coming back so we said good bye to them. Then we went to church. Tim Symonds preached. After that we straight to the 20th Annual Fine Food Fair which was taking place at the Weald and Down Open Air Museum near Chichester. It took about an hour to get there. It was pretty good good lots of food and drink to try and buy. I saw some one I used to work with at PFP who is now in the fish cake business! We stayed there until about 4pm and spent a fortune on food and then came home for an hours rest before going to church in the evening. I was knackered by then but Dave Treener preached and that was excellent as usual. In the evening we watched a couple of episodes of `Lost Season 1` which we could download for free off of the channel 4 web site! We went to bed around 11pm and Fiona got in a bit after that.

Went For Run Went To B+Q Napped Went For A Walk Take Away And a Film
Went for a run with Andrea this morning. Didn't do too well but it was good to get out. After breakfast we went to B+Q to get some tester pots of paint and try to get some blinds for the kitchen. We got the paint but not the blinds. Then we got a cheese burger from the burger van there! Then we came home and had a nap. Didn't get up again until about 2pm! chilled out for the rest of the afternoon which was nice. About 5pm we went decided to go out for a walk, so we drove to the car park in Woodingdean north of the downs hotel and went for a stroll along there towards the abandoned farm buildings of ballsdean. We walked until about 6.15pm and then came home and we played some boogle and ordered a take away from Eshna's Nutrition and watched `The Man With One Red Shoe`. About 9.45pm Alan and Viv got back from the conference and then Fiona turned up about 10 minutes after that. We stayed up and chatted for an hour or so and then went to bed.

Went To Asda Dad Came Over Tidied House Dad Cut Grass Sold Old Cooker Watched Columbo Alan And Viv Arrive
We slept in till late today. Got up about 8.30am! Andrea went off to work and went to Asda to pick up some things I'd forgotten yesterday. Then came home and I did some bits and pieces around the house. Dad came over about midday and we spent the afternoon tidying the house up really. A couple came over about 2pm and bought our old gas cooker which I put an advert in the Friday ads for. After that Dad and Me went to the peacehaven carvery for lunch. That was really good. Felt well stuffed after that! Got home and carried up tidying up. Dad cut the very over grown grass in the garden! Andrea came home about 5pm and we had some coffee and some of the carrot cake that Dad had made and bought down with him. He left about 6pm and then we just chilled out for a bit really. We watched another episode of `Columbo: Season 1`. That was a really good one. Then the couple we had staying who are at the Baptist Assembly turned up about 9.45pm. They were really a really nice couple called Alan and Viv. Alan is a pastor in Bath. We chatted to them until about 11pm and then we all went to bed.

Went For Run Worked At Church Went Shopping Had PST Meeting
Got up early and went for a run with Andrea. I did fairly well. Did some bits and pieces around the house and then went to church for around 11.30am. Stayed there until around 2.30pm so, doing the church profile. After that I went to Matalan to take back clothes I'd bought and then on the Asda to do some shopping. I saw shane from church there so chatted to him for a bit. Came home and sorted out some stuff for the pastoral search team meeting later that evening. The PST meeting started at 8pm and went well. Sean chaired the meeting really well. Got home about 10pm or so

Worked From Home Went to Anne & Mikes For Lunch Blow Your Cover
Did some bits and pieces around the house so I didn't start work until around 11.30am. Worked for an hour or so and then went to Anne and Mikes for lunch. Andrea was there and Juliet and Ronan were there as well. That was nice. Stayed for about and hour and a half or so then came home and carried on working. Andrea came home about 5.45pm and I worked till around 7pm in the end. We left the house to go to church for the Blow Your Cover course that we're doing as home groups. That was OK but no very home groupy. Got in around 10.30pm

Worked Paul Roberts Came Round For Curry
Had a good day at work. I felt loads better than yesterday. Went to McDonalds for lunch as I missed the sandwich man in the morning. Had an OK journey home and got in around 7.20pm. Unpacked the car and stuff and then Paul Roberts came over about 8pm with a cracking selection of curries! so ate them and chatted. He left about 9.30pm and then Andrea and me watched another episode of `Columbo: Season 1`

Long Drive To Work Bad Headache Went To Jonathans For Dinner
Had a really long drive to work today. Over 3 hours! Got to work late and had a bad headache. I felt ruff all day because of my headache so couldn't do a great deal really. At lunch time I went for a walk and prayer with Fiona and felt a little better but in the afternoon felt bad again. I was really glad to get back to the B+B at the end of the day, but when I did the heating wasn't on and there was no hot water. Spoke to Andrea and Dad on the phone and chilled out of a bit. Had a bath and after that I felt a little better. Went to the high street to get cash out and fill up with petrol and then went on to Jonathan at works house as he had invited me over for a meal. That was really good. I found his place OK and his wife and a friend of theirs was there. Their friend had been to Sussex so we chatted about Brighton. Had a lovely meal and left about 10.30pm or so. I got a little lost on the way home but found it in the end. Got back to the B+B and watched TV for a while.

Lunch at Church Andrea Leading Singing
Andrea was singing so she went to church a bit earlier than me and dad. After the service there was a big lunch in the church. That was good a but a little chaotic! I was very busy helping out bringing stuff in from the kitchen and then Andrea and Me did the tea and coffee's as well. After that we helped clear everything away and wash up. Ended up not leaving till about 3pm or so and we were shattered by then! Went home and we watched another episode of `Columbo: Season 1`. Andrea was leading singing with Annie in the evening service so she left early to go back to church and me and Dad did some stuff on the family tree. Then Dad dropped me at church for 6.30pm. Andrea did really well leading from the front. After the service we came home and I got ready for work the next day.

Plasterer Came To Do The Kitchen Ceiling Dad Came Over Andrea Went Out With Anna Duke Dad And Me Went To The Marina Anne Mike Dad and Us Get The Rest Of The Floor Up Watched Columbo
Dad came over fairly early as he had dropped Jill and Adrian off at the airport early. We were hoping to be able to do some more of the floor today but the plasterer was here and there was no way we could do anything while he was there. He was really good though and did a great job. He turned up about 8am and got going after a little bit of umming and arring if he'd be able to do the job as there was loads of stuff in the kitchen. So we moved some bits and pieces out to the hall way and some in the garden and then left him to it. Andrea went out the visit Anna Duke and I did a little more World Vision work to make up a days work form yesterday. Then Dad and me went to the marina as it was a really nice day. We went for a little stroll around and went in the pub and had a pint. After that we popped to Asda and picked up a few bits for lunch. Got home and the plasterer was all done, so we had a cup of tea and waited for Andrea to get home. Then we sat in the garden and ate our lunch and then got back to work on the kitchen floor. Anne and Mike came back over as well and in a couple of hours or so we'd finished the whole floor! fantastic! In the evening we chilled out and watched and another episode of `Columbo: Season 1`

Did Stuff Around The House Worked at Home Dad Came Over Went B+Q Anne Mike Dad and Us Get Some of The Floor Up Had Pizza Watched Columbo
Worked from home today but didn't get started till a little later as I was doing some bits and pieces around the house in the morning. Dad came over after Alpha to make a start on trying to get the floor up, and I did World Vision work. About mid-afternoon we popped out to B+Q and had a hotdog from the burger van in the car park there. That was very nice! We had a look at chisels and hammers to help us get this stuff off the floor. We bought some hammers and then went to wickes and bought some chisels. Came home and I did a bit more work. In the evening about 6ish Anne, Mike, Dad , Andrea and me all got to work hammering the lino off of the kitchen floor. We worked for about 2 hours and found out a good method of getting the top layer off and then using a large scrapper to get the glue off the floor. Made good progress and got more off the floor than I thought we would in that. After wards we were all knackered so we put our feet up and ordered a couple of pizzas from Domino's. Then everyone left about 9.30pm or so and Andrea and I watched an episode of `Columbo: Season 1`

Worked at World Vision
Had a good day at work today. Andrea phoned during the day, to say that the lino underneath the laminet in the kitchen is glued down to the concrete and that either we'd have to get it up ourselves or Adrian would charge us extra to do as it would take ages. We decided that we'd Anne, Mike and Peter to help us tomorrow evening. Left just after 5pm so it took a while to get home. I had to stop at pease pottage services to go to the toilet!. Just chilled out in the evening

Worked at World Vision Went for Walk and Prayer at Lunch With Fiona Watched Return of the King
Drove to World Vision in the morning. Saw a really nasty crash on the southbound carriage way of the M1. All lanes closed there loads of vechiles involved in that. Had an OK day at work. I wen tout with Fiona for a walk at lunch time which was nice we chatted about how we're both finding things at World Vision and stuff and sat in the porch of a church down the road from the office to pray about our jobs for a while. The rest of the day was was fairly good for work. Went back to the B+B in the evening and had a batch etc. About 7pm or so I popped out to fill the car up, get some cash out and buy my fish and chips. Sat and ate that and watched some telly. After I'd eaten I watched the first half of special edition of `Lord of the Rings: Return of the King`

Adrian and Steve Start Work on The Kitchen Went for Run Went to Peacehaven Carvery Andrea at Singing Practice
Adrian and Steve started work on the kitchen this morning. They arrived about 8.30am or so. I reluctantly went out for a run with Andrea. I didn't do very well and had to walk a couple of times. I did see a woodpecker though! Then we went out about 9.30am or so to drop off a load of old kitchen bits we didn't want, to the Hove YMCA and then went up to Anne and Mikes. It was a really sunny day so we sat outside and drank coffee. Juliet, Kian, Ronan and Keivey were there as well. We all went to the carvery in Peacehaven for lunch which was very nice. Went back to Anne and Mikes for a bit and left there about 4pm. Swung by B+Q on he way home to look at plug sockets. Andrea had singing practice in the evening so she went to that and I watched the second half of the special edition of `Lord of the Rings: The Twin Towers`

Went to Dads for Easter Dinner
All got up and had breakfast and we watched a bit more of `Kingdom of Heaven`. Then Dad drove us up his place about 9.30am. Once we got there there we helped Dad sort out all the food etc. Anne and Mike arrived about 11.45am and then Clare, Dee and Ali a little after that. We had a very nice dinner together. After dinner we spent some time in the garden. Dee found a slo worm that had been pecked at by the birds. There were laods of fish in Dads pond as well as newts. We feed some of fish out our hands. Clare and Dee went about 7pm or so and We got a lift back with Anne and Mike. We left Dads about 9.30pm. When we got in we took the tbale and chairs out fo the kitchen and watched the very end of `Kingdom of Heaven`

Easter Service Lunch at Anne and Mikes Evening Service Watched Kingdon of Heaven
Got up fairly early as Andrea was singing in the choir at church so she went there for 9.30am then me and Dad got there for about 10.15am and set up the stuff for tea and coffee. I went on welcome as they were short of people and stayed out for security as well. The church was really packed for the Easter service. At the end of the service when I went to do tea and coffee I unfortunately discovered that the urn wasn't on and the water was stone cold! so we packed that back up. Then we all went to Anne and Mikes for lunch which was really nice. Anne did a lovely roast dinner. In the afternoon we watched songs of praise which was from Spring Harvest . We all went back to church for about 5.30 as Anne and Mike were in the choir and we were going to get some hot cross buns ready for after the service. I did welcome and security again. This time I had put the urn on properly so we were abel to do tea and coffee and give out hot cross buns. After the service we came home and watched `Kingdom of Heaven` which was OK but couldn't follow it very well. We ate some of our Easter eggs while watching the film.

Dad Came to Stay Went to The Jolly Sportsman
Dad arrived at about 4pm. Had coffee and chatted for a while. Then I tried to book up a table at the Rainbow Inn at Cooksbridge but they were full so Andrea looked up another place near there called The Jolly Sportsman. So we went there for about 8pm. That was a really nice meal. We didn't leave until about 11pm. Some how we managed to pay for the meal before Dad had a chance!

Clearing Kitchen Nick Comes To Visit Went to Various Country Pubs Walk On Bevendean Down Meal At Home Atkins Came Over After breakfast we carried on doing some packing up of the kitchen stuff. Then I did some work on the computer for a while, mostly doing church stuff. At about 2pm I went to collect Nick form the station. We came back to ours and had a cup of a tea and chat then then we all went out for lunch. We decided to go to a country pub so I drove up past Lewes and we found the Cock Inn. Unfortunately it was closed for the afternoon, so we drove on and ended up in Barcombe where we found the Harvest Inn which was opened and but wasn't doing food. So we drove back to the Royal Oak, which was closed and then went on the the Rainbow Inn in Cooksbridge but that was also not doing food and only had a small bar area. We thought we may as well get a drink and some crisps! by now it was about 4pm. Had a nice chat in their and then we drove home and had a beer, then went for a walk up on the Bevendean Down as it was fairly sunny by now. That was nice, I hadn't been up there for ages. After that we came home and some some food and some wine and Nick was telling us all about his walking holidays in Spain. Sounded hairy! About 8.30pm Atkins came over and we all had a really funny evening. Nick left about 10pm or so to get a train home and Atkins left about 11pm After that me and Andrea watched a bit of an episode of Columbo Season 1.

Mwaba's Funeral Cooking Clearing The Kitchen
Had Mwaba's funeral today at the church. We got there just before 10.30am. DT did the service which was really good. There were loads of people there. The whole of the ground floor was full. It was a lovely service for her and quite emotional. At the end of the service all the family sang Psalm 23 in their Zambian language and it was beautiful. The service lasted about an hour in the end and then we went up to the cemetery for the burial. That was over pretty quickly but again was lovely and emotional. We then went back to the church for the reception of tea, coffee and a buffet. That was nice to chat to everyone. We stayed about an hour or so and then left and went to B+Q to pick up a few lights of the kitchen. We spent to the rest of the afternoon cooking 4 big meals to freeze and clearing out the kitchen ready for when Adrian starts work on it on Tuesday. That took ages, but we eventually called it a day about 8.30pm or so and then had some dinner and watched an episode of Columbo Season 1.

Gunnell Working From Home Andrea Went To Town Mintons Birthday At Walmer Castle
I was working from home all day and Andrea was still off work so she popped into town for a while to get some bits and pieces and drop some flowers and a card off, from everyone, to Caroline Cook for organising our Spring Harvest break. When she got home was had some lunch and then I did a bit more work. In the afternoon I popped out to sainsburys to get a few bits. In the evening we went out to the Walmer Castle as it was Mintons birthday. We got there about 8.30pm and most people were already there. We had a good evening, got to see a load of people. Minton enjoyed her self. We left there about 11pm.

Leave Spring Harvest Lunch At The Hairy Dog Alpha Celebration
Got up early today to pack the car up with all our stuff. After that we went to the last celebration at the big top which was OK. That finished at 11.30am and then we decided to drive up the road from the Butlins site and go to the Hairy Dog pub for some lunch and beat the rush of people leaving Butlins. We went there with Anne, Mike, Graham and Margaret. The Cooks turned up as well which was good as we all had a chance to say goodbye etc. Got back on the road about 1.30pm and the traffic was fine really. Stopped in Salisbury for fuel but apart form that we drove straight home. We just missed a really bad crash on the A27 and it looked like they were going to close the road. I doubt that driver would have made it. Got back home about 6pm or so and then unpacked the car and had a cup of tea. In the evening we went to the last Alpha do at church. That was good. It was the Alpha celebration so we had a nice meal and played some games etc, and a couple of people gave a testimony of what Alpha had done for them.

Lots Of Spring Harvest Talks
Went to the morning Bible study session which was really really good, as usual. After that Andrea and Me went for a coffee and then on to a radio 2 session which was really good. Then we meet up with everyone else and prayed. Then we went back to the chalet for lunch and we all played boggle. After boogle Andrea and Anne went for a walk and Mike went to one of the afternoon sessions. I stayed in and wrote up the dairy. In the evening we went to the big top. Steve chalk spoke for a bit about the stop the traffic campaign that he is involved in and then Daniel Bedingfield turned up and spoke bit more about it and sung a few songs as well. Rob parsons did then main talk which was really really good. After that we went to the hot shots place with a few people and had a beer. Andrea and me played outrun 2 against each other which was good fun. When we got back to the chalet I stayed up for a bit and watched some TV and there was a good program about a vicar who was struggling with pain, suffering and forgiveness.

Lots Of Spring Harvest Talks
Before we went anywhere else all the Holland Roaders meet up at the little chapel in the Butlins site to prayer for everyone at church as they'd be hearing about Davis's daughter. Went to the morning Bible study session which was really really good. Steve Chalk did the talk. After that we went to a session called Radio 5 which was OK, better than the radio 4 thing I'd been to. After lunch back at the chalet I went to a Mark Greene talk which was good but all stuff I'd heard before. I came back to the chalet after that and Andrea and Anne had been for a walk and Andrea had bumped into Jim Partridge, who she'd meet at Spring Harvest many years ago but who now leads some of the youth work there. In the afternoon we stayed at the chalet and chilled out for a while. Went to the evening session in the big top which was good but we were knackered after that so we just came back to the chalet.

Lots Of Spring Harvest Talks
Went to the morning Bible study session which was really really good. Steve Chalk did the talk. After that we went to a session called Radio 4 which was OK . Then we went for a session on prayer with all the Holland Roaders and some of the pastoral team from Spring Harvest. Then we came back to the chalet for some lunch and Annie Robson joined us. After lunch Andrea and Anne went to a singing session and Mike went out for a walk. I stayed in a wrote my diary. When Andrea and Anne got back we watched a bit of columbo. The evening session was really good. Mark Greene was speaking and he was fantastic as usual. After the evening there was a half hour prayer session for the persecuted church around the world. After all that a few of us went out for a beer. And then checked out one of the theatre companies that were there. That was OK but too arty for me. I was very tired as well.

Air Ambulance Came To Butlins Andrea And Me Drove Davis's Kids To Southampton Mwabe Passed Away
While we were eating breakfast we saw a helicopter land in the Butlins site, and then take off a few minutes later. Then we went for the morning session in the big top. When we got there we saw on the big screen that there was a message for Graham Jarvis to go to the a certain part of the site. About 10 minutes into the service Margaret Jarvis came over to us a beckoned us out. Apparently the helicopter was an air ambulance for Mwabe, one of David and Mwape's children. They wanted us to rive the rest of the kids to their aunts place in Southampton (about 3 hours away) so we packed up our car with some of their stuff and got on the road. About half way there one the kids got a call from Davis saying could Andrea and Me wait at the aunts for Davis, Mwape, Graham and Steve. So it was obvious the children had passed away. She had sickle cell and had died of a stroke. When we got to the house we had to wait another 2 and a half hours of so for everyone else to turn up. We then left Southampton about 5pm. We stopped at a little chef on the way then got back to the Minehead about 10pm. When we got back everyone was at our chalet. They had all been praying. Got to bed late. Very tired. Andrea was upset. It had been a very strange day.

Left For Spring Harvest Opening Celebration Event Louise Fellingham Concert
Got up late and packed up the car to go to Spring Harvest. Left the house about 11am. It was a nice day and we had a pretty good drive to Minehead going M27, A36, A303, A39. Got there about 4pm or so found our way in and got to the chalet. The chalet was nice but a little small. We went to the opening celebration event at the big top. That was really good. There was really good music and a great play as well. After that we came back to the chalet for an hour or so and then went out again to see Louise Fellingham sing, with her husband on the keyboard and Suzanne husband, Alan Rose, on the guitar That started about 10.30pm for an hour or so and was amazing. Got in about midnight

Druids Data Analysis Worked From Home Andrea Back From Conference Packed For Spring Harvest
Got up early and did some Druids work for a while and then did my World Vision work. Worked till late today. In the evenign I made a chicken and Chorizo and a chilli as well. Picked up Andrea about 7.15pm Her talk had gone really well that she given at the conference just before she left. We got some fish and chips on the way home I had a bad headache most of the evening so we didn't do much expect sort a few things out for Spring Harvest the next day

Worked Alpha Druids Data Analysis
Work was OK today. I went for a pint with Jonathan at lunch time. Had a good journey home. On the way Matt called about some data analysis they would like done at pub so I arranged to pop in there after Alpha. When I got home Sam had left a thank you note as they had been staying at our place the night before. Then drove to church for the last Alpha session. That was good. Andrea was still at her conference in Warwick though so she wasn't around. Stopped by the pub on the way home and chatted to matt for a while about some stuff we could do. Then came home and worked on that for a while.

Rotten Morning At Work Watched Film Andrea Went To Conference In Warwick
Andrea was off to her conference in Warwick today. Got up early and was on the road by 6.30am. Got in at 9am. The morning at work was pretty grim but the afternoon was much better. I went to McDonalds for lunch. In the evening I didn't do much. I went and filled the car up and got some money out, etc then went and got some fish and chips which I ate back at the B+B and watched a the first disc of `Lord of the rings: the fellowship of the ring`

Church Annie's For Dinner Church Home Group Meeting
Went to church and DT preached a really good message. Apparently he had changed it totally earlier that morning! Andrea and Me did the tea and coffee after the service and then went over to Annie Robsons for lunch. I was really tired from a late night yesterday . We had a very nice roast dinner with her two sons and Shane and his two kids. After dinner we all went to Preston Park with the boys for a while. We left here about 4.45pm to go to Paul and Amanda's and pick up our air bed and then went straight on to church for 5.30pm. Andrea was singing and I went to the prayer meeting. After the evening service we had a home group leaders meeting which I really didn't enjoy as I was really really knackered by this point. Got home and packed some stuff for work and Andrea packed up for her conference in Warwick

Andrea Got A Hair Cut Bought Mums Old Car Off Atkins Went To Gava's For His Birthday Do Atkins was meant to come over in the morning with the car but she was hung over. Andrea went out to get her hair cut in the morning and was gone for most of the day. I did a few bits and pieces around the house and messed around on the computer. Andrea got back mid afternoon and her hair looked very nice. Then Atkins came over with the carand Andrea and me went for a test drive. The car was all good so we bought it. Atkins parents were down so they popped in and stayed for a cup of tea. After they all went we drove to MFI in Andrea's new car (the Citroen AX which used to be Mums) to look at sinks for the kitchen. We saw one we liked so we bought it. Then came home and got ready to go to Gava and Melissa's for the evening. Atkins came over about 8.20pm or so to pick us up. It was Gavas birthday so there was quite a few over there. It was an OK evening. Gava was very drunk when we got there. Chippy and Alex turned up in a similar state. We left about midnight and Atkins gave us a lift home.
