Bad Journey Home from Work
Didn't really have great day again at work. Had a fairly bad journey home and realised I wouldn't be able to go home first so I stopped at Peases Pottage Services on the way back and went to the loo and had a burger king, then carried on striaght to church for the `Blowing Your Cover` course we're doing as a home group.

Was Early For Work

Clare and Dee Got Their Offer Accepted On The House
Woke up early and went to work but because I'd left so early I was there really early so I went into Toddington Services for 45 minutes and had a coffee and read a paper. Didn't have a great day at work. Had a bit of a headache all day. Went back to the B+B and had fish and chips in the evening. I spoke to Andrea and Clare and Dee were staying at our house as Dee was doing some papering in the kitchen for us. As I was on the phone to Andrea they got a call to say their offer had been accepted on the house in Cold Dean!

Rained As We Packed Up

Got up at a bit more of a reasonable time today but it was raining slightly. The rain didn't last too long though and it was quite nice after that. We had breakfast and then started to pack up some things after we eaten and washed up. But part way through packing up the car it really poured down. So we huddled under the gazebo which was still up. After the rain it was really nice again but it we kept getting short down pours all day really. After we got home we unpacked the car and then Dad went home. I was absolutely shattered so we didn't really do anything the rest of the day. Andrea's cough was really bad in the night

Got up fairly early and we had breakfast etc. Andrea wasn't feeling to great because of her cough and she hadn't really been able to sleep so when went off to church. We dropped her off at home. I was on security. After church me and Dad went to get Andrea via sinsburys where we got some bits for a BBQ. Andrea was a lot better after having a chance to have bath and relax for a while. Then we drove back to the camp site and I did a BBQ. After that we all went to south water country park near Horsham for a few horus which was nice. One of the kids throw the aerobe in the water though but Mike waded in and got it back.

I got up about 6.45am and had a shower and then we all had breakfast together. Spent the rest of the morning chatting to other Holland Roaders and playing Frisbee. After lunch we all went to a park near Haywards Heath. That was really good. We went on a mini train ride thing around the park which was fantastic and only 50p! We played Aerobe and cricket. We all ended up in the pub and had a good chat with Dave and Rita. Came back to the camp site and had some lovely spaghetti bolognese for dinner. In the evening I went round chatting to people. Sat with the Symonds's and the Wallis's till about 11pm. In the night Andrea was really coughing and wasn't very well. I got up about 1.30am for the loo and there was an amazing clear sky with millions of stars.

After a quick breakfast I got the car and started packing up. It was really raining. We made a move early and had a good journey home. Rained all the way though. Got in, unpacked some stuff and had some lunch and then watched a few episodes of `Lost Season 1`. After that we packed a few for camping. Dad turned up and we gave us a hand sorting things out and we left about 3.30pm and got to the homeybridge camp site near Dial Post, about half an hour later. Anne and Mike were there so we set up out tents and then I played some scrabble with Andrea. In the evening we had dads chilli which was good. The weather stayed dry but it was a bit cold. Went to bed about 10pm

Went to play badminton in the morning. I was aching and knackered. We had a good game though. Very funny. After we meet everyone else and went to the watch Kian do the jump zone. Then all the girls went off shopping and the boys went and played ten pin bowling. I lost! The girls meet us in the bowling alley and we all strolled back to the villa and had lunch. After lunch Andrea and Me went on a nice long bike ride and then took our bikes back to the hire place. Then had another hot tub and got ready for the evening. At about 7pm we went over to the bar area where there was room with a disco for the kids. We had a couple of drinks and came home about 8.30pm. Jamie made some fajitas which were very good.

Andrea went for a run with Mike and Juliet in the morning at about 7.30am I got up about 8am. Went to watch some of the kids football school that Kian was doing. After that we went swimming with Juliet, Anne, Kian and Ronan. Went in the wave machine 2 or 3 times which was good. The swimming pool was pretty good it had a few slides a lazy river thing, an outdoor pool area and some rapids which were good. Andrea lost her locker going down the rapids but luckily a girl behind her picked them up. When we got out we used the blow dryer machine which was OK but took a while. Then we had lunch back at the villa with everyone else. In the afternoon we went for a nice long bike ride. At one point Andrea got a branch stuck in her spoke and came off but she alright. Went back to the villa and had a sauna, a hot tub and then the steam room. After all that we had a nap. Then we went over and booked a badminton court but we had to wait 20 minutes so we went in he bar and had coke while we waited. Had good fun playing badminton. But we were knackered afterwards. When we got back the kids were in bed and everyone was drinking wine and watching TV. Anne was cooking her chicken catchatory meal which was very nice. Went to bed about 10pm

Went To Hucks Diner

 

Had breakfast and celebrated Anne's birthday. At about 9.45am Andrea and Me went for a bike ride. That was really good fun. I was better on the bike than last year. We rode on dirt tracks which was knackering and saw some pheasants. We got back to the villa about half an hour later and went to meet everyone else who were having a coffee. After that we went and played adventure golf on the little island, which was really good fun. Then came back to the villa for lunch. In the afternoon we all went and played some badminton, then came home and had a hot tub and then in the steam room. In the evening we got ready to go out and had some sparkling wine for Anne's birthday and then went out to the Hucks Diner for dinner. We had to wait a little for a table so we all got some drinks in. There was a massive play area for the boys. Had a good meal and then strolled back to the villa and crashed out about 10pm

Went To Centre Parcs

Got up about 7.30am and packed up the car to go to Centre Parcs - Elvenden Forest. We hit the road about 9.45am and had a pretty good journey getting there at midday. Meet up with Anne, Mike, Jamie, Juliet and the boys and went for lunch at the refresh cafe. After that I got the car and parked near the villa to unload and then parked it back in the main car park. Our villa is really nice. It has a sauna, an outside hot tub and a steam room. After we'd unpacked we chilled out for a bit and then Andrea and Me went in the steam room. Then we went in the hot tub. Anne joined us as everyone else had gone for a swim. After we got out we relaxed for a while more and read my bible and then went to hire some bikes. It started raining on the way back to the villa so we got a bit wet. The boys were getting ready for bed and Andrea cooked some rice to go with the chilli we'd bought. Then we all sat down and had dinner. Before bed we blow up some balloons and stuff for Anne's birthday the next day.

Church
Watched Film
Had church in the monring. It was Dan and Eloeis's baptisms. It was a great service and we were meant to be doing tea and coffee after the service but the urn hadn't been plugged in so we left it there for the evening tea and coffee. After church just came home and chilled out. We watched `Batman Begins` which was really good. The evening service was by Joel Virgo who is new senior pastor at CCK. He was did an amazing sermon!

Went to church for a PST meeting at 9am. That was good when we got home Clare and Dee were at our place and we went to look a house with them on Taunton road near ours. That was OK but it was a little pricey and needed alot of work. Then we came back had some lunch and a cup of tea before going to see one in Moulsceoomb that wasn't all that and they decided Mouslecoomb was no good. Then we had a drive up to a place in Coldean which was nice but we just looked at it form the outside. They have a viewing there next weekend. Then we came to our for a bit and then they went home about 3pm or so. Andrea went off the sainsburys to get some stuff for centre parcs and I made a chilli to take with us. In the evening Andrea did loads of ironing and we watched another 3 episodes of `Lost Season 1`

Did some stuff on the computer in the morning and played `Age of Empires II` Then dad came round and we had some lunch and chatted for a while Then we got to work doing some tidying and clearing up. We went to dump to get rid of a load of packaging fromt the new fridge freezer and dropped some stuff off at the YMCA for them to sell. Then we spent to rest of the afternoon tidying the house. Dad steamed the floor of the kitchen which got some of the grouting off the tiles. I popped out in the afternoon to get a few things for Andrea. Andrea got home about 5.30pm and we all had a cup of tea. Dad left about 6.30pm or something and then Andrea and me had a nice evening in together. She had a nice bath and we had some sparkling wine and then we had some dinner and watched some more `Lost Season 1`

Went to church for 9.30am to meet Andy and do some door 2 door. That went OK but not many people were around. After that I went back to the church and worked there until about midday. Then I went back home and made some wraps and then drove up to Andrea lab to meet her for lunch. She was really busy when I got there so I watched her finish off some work and then we went and sat in the canteen and had our wraps. A couple of other girls from her lab came and joined us. When I got home I spent the rest of the afternoon and early evening cleaning up the house a bit. About 6.30pm Andrea and Anne got in and I made a lasanga. That was nice evening. It was the first proper meal we'd made in the kitchen. Mike came about 9pm and stayed half an hour or so and then they went home. After that we watched some more `Lost Season 1`

`Blow Your Cover` At Church
Got up and started working early after breakfast. Adrian came to finish off some bits in the kitchen. During the morning I left to meet a couple of people form Brighton and Hove City Mission outside Lyndhurst rest home. We went in at 10.30am and prayed together before going into the main lounge and singing some songs and I did my talk from Mark 2:1-12. It went well and I was pleased with it. I spoke to an old lady called Hazel for a while after. When I got back I carried on working. Adrian had finished his last bits on the kitchen at last. Was very glad that that was all done. In the evening we went to church for the blowing your cover home group. We left early as we were providing refreshments so we popped into sainsburys on the way and picked some stuff up. Got to church and set up and the food and tea and coffee etc. It was a good session. Cleared up afterwards and got around 10.30pm

Saw A Woodpecker At Lunch Time
Got up extra early to get to work today. Still had a bad journey in but at least I arrived early for the first time ever! Although at one point on the M25 I passed a crash that had just happened. There were no ambulance or police there yet and one car was up side down in the fast lane and some poor lady was hanging out the window. She was alive as one of many passers by who had stopped was talking to her. A bit of a shock to suddenly see that. Had an OK day really. At lunch time Me and Fiona drove to Marks and Spencer's to get some sandwiches and then went back to the church near the office and sat and ate our sandwiches in the porch area there. As we sat there we watched a woodpecker feeding its young and knocking a hole in a tree. Amazing! After work I went back to the B+B and I had a different room this time which was nice. Had a bath and then popped out to get some fish and chips. Ate that and watched some telly. Then I watched the last hour or so of `Alexander`.

Moved Stuff Back Into Kitchen
Didn't wake up until 9am today. Went to church which was good. It was the world missions gift day. Didn't really hang around much after the service but drove to petrol garage to fill the car up and buy a few bits. Then came home and had lunch. We watched another two episodes (7 and 8) of `Lost Season 1`. Then did a bit more moving stuff back in to the kitchen. Went back to church for the evening service where they announced the total given for the missions gift day. The target was £24,500 but we all raised £36,500! not bad at all. When we got home we had something to eat and then I got ready for work tomorrow.

After breakfast I read through my talk I'll be giving at the Lyndhurst Rest Home this Wednesday and then we moved some more stuff into the kitchen and I played Age of Empires: Rise of Rome on the PC for a bit, and we watched a couple of episodes (5 and 6) of `Lost Season 1` on DVD. Andrea went out for a run. Then about 12.30pm we got a bus to towns stopping off at the Druids for a minute to drop of my coat as it was a nice day but we were planning on being out until late. We got to Riki Tiks in the Laines and after a short while Matt turned up with Alex. That was really good we spent some some time and then Atkins joined us. After a while we had a wonder around the laines as it was the Streets Of Brighton 2006 parade thing for the Brighton Festival. We went to the Pavilion Gardens to check out the comedy maze but it was so busy we gave that a miss. Next we wondered to the library where there was a large band playing and me and Andrea got some take away sushi for our lunch. Kate meet up with us at this point. Then we all went to the Basket Makers and had a drink there before wondering back up to the Druids. Matt, Kate took Alex home and Andrea Atkins and Me went up to Chippys room where a load of people were watching the cup final (Liverpool V West Ham) on a big screen and projector. We watched the last 10 minutes of normal time , then the extra time and then the penalties. Liverpool won. After that we had a BBQ out on the roof terrace. Then we went downstairs for a drink and we meet Jez Nixon. It was really good to catch up with him again. Spent the next few hours in there. Then about 9.15pm or so we walked up to Preston Park with loads of people from the Druids. There were hundreds of people making their way there for the big fire works do. Me and Andrea kept trying to get Gava in trouble with Melissa which was very amusing. Eventually we lost everyone as it was very dark. But ended up with Tall Paul and Vicki which was good. Had a couple of tinnies and watched the fireworks performance which was really good. After it finished there were so many thousands of people we would never get a taxi and all the roads were gridlocked anyway as there were so many people walking in the road. Luckily it was a really hot night. We walked from Preston Park to Sainsburys on the Lewes road and got a 10 bus home. Got in around 11.30pm Made a cup of tea and had a bit of toast then went to bed.

Adrian turned up first thing this morning to finish something off in the kitchen. He was only here about 15 minute. Then the cleaner and her boss turned up about 9.30am. She couldn't really speak any English so I just left her to to it. Then I did some stuff on the computer in the most of the morning. Dad turned up about midday and we had a cup of tea and sat outside as it was a nice day. Andrea came and meet us for lunch. She had bought some bagels with her which were very nice. After Andrea went back to work me and dad started cleaning the rest of house (the cleaner was only doing the kitchen) She left about 4.30pm or so and after we had a good clean of the rest of the house we started to move alot of stuff back into the kitchen. In the evening Dad drove us all went a pizza express in Lewes. That was good. Then Dad dropped us back home and then he drove home. Andrea and me then watched the 4th episode of `Lost Season 1` on the PC.

I went to church for 9.30am to meet Andy and go to do door to door. It was a really nice again so we prayed together and then went out on the doors. That was really good. We spoke to a few people. I then spent until 4.30pm at the church writing up the church profile for the PST team. Got home and Andrea phoned to say she was running late at work and that she'd go on to the bannd evening at Keith and Shelia's straight form work. So I decided to do a bit more church work at home. In the eveving I watched half of `Alexander` which was OK but wasn't really keeping my attention

Matt and Kates BBQ
Helped At The Missions Night At Church
Poped out to Wickes and to the electrical shop first thing to try and order some more bits for the kitchen. It was a really nice day but I had loads of stuff to do indoors all day, like World Vision work! I went over to Matt and Kates at about 4pm as they were having a BBQ. While I was there the Chalcrofts turned up with Toby and he played with Alex who was still up. Then a few of Kates friends cam and Chand as well. It was a good BBQ but a shame I had to leave early as Andrea and me were helping with the mission evening at church serving food and cleaning up etc. That was good but hard work. Got in about 10.30pm

New Boiler Installed
Today was OK at work but went fairly slowly really. At lunch time I went to McDonlads with Fiona.Had a reasonably good journey home. Got home about 7.15pm and Mr Wells was finishing off installing the new boiler. Andrea got in just after me and then he showed us how it all worked etc. We just chilled out really for the rest the evening and watched a bit of telly.

It was really chucking it down today so my journey to work was very slow. Had an OK day at work though. It was Jonathan Francis's birthday so 5 of us went to the swan inn in Milton Keynes Village for lunch. In the evening I went to the tesco between work and my B+B. It was the biggest supermarket I've been in! Massive. Picked up a few bits there and then got some petrol, some money out and some fish and chips then went back to the B+B. Had my fish and chips and watched the last half of special edition of `Lord of the Rings: Return of the King`

Andrea was singing this morning so she went to church early. Then Dad came round about 10am and gave me a lift to church. Tony sargent preached he was really good. After the service Dad went to Anna and Steve's in Worthign for lunch and Andrea and me went to Adam and Rosie's for lunch. That was really good.We left there about 4pm and came home for a bit. Andrea was leading the singing from the front in the evening and she did really well, but it meant she had to be there early. I came along for the normal time. Tony Sargent preached again in the evening and that was really good.

We got pretty early and as we were helping with the chidrens parade for the start of the Brighton Festival. We parked up in Hanover and then walked down to the Dome to meet everyone else. It was a really good morning. Andrea and Me were in the rear team which meant we were holding up a big Brighton Festival banner and giving out festival guides and stickers to people who watching the parade. The parade itself was amazing! over 70 schools were represented. It was actually hard work and a long morning. We started at 9.15am and were on our feet until gone 2pm. Came home and watched the end of the episode of `Columbo: Season 1` we'd started the night before and then went to bed for about 1 and a half hours! In the evening Atkins came over which was good as we hadn't seen her for ages. We ordered a pizza but it took nearly 2 hours to arrive! Atkins complained to the manager those and we got a refund and our next pizza free! result!

Went for a run with Andrea in the morning which was good. I didn't do too badly this time. After Andrea went off to work I pottered around doing a few bits and pieces around the house until about 11.30am Then I popped to Sainsburys to get a few bits and then was going to meet up with Atkins but she ended up going to Luton earlier than she had planned so we didn't get a chance. So I came home and did some more tidying up etc. Dad came over about 3pm or so to cut our grass and he stayed until about 6.30pm when he dropped Andrea and me at the Druids before going on home. We had a good night at the Druids. We had a free meal and drink from when I done some analysis work for them. I had a `Gunnell burger` which was a massive cheese and bacon burger and onion rings and Andrea had chicken burger. We had a bottle of wine and a couple of pints. Gava came and chatted with us for a while, and chippy and saw Matt as well. We left there about 9.30pm or so and got a cab home. We did start to watch an episode of `Columbo: Season 1` but feel asleep after about half an hour and went to bed

We were planning to go for a run this morning but we were both knackered so we slept in till gone 8am. Andrea left for work about 9am and then I pottered around doing a few bits and then started work. Went to meet Andrea for lunch at the university and Elizabeth from church who works there as well came out with us too. We got a sandwich from their canteen and then went to stanmer park. It was a really nice day which was great. Then came home and did so more work and stuff until about 6pm. Didn't do much in the evening just watched another episode of `Lost Season 1`

Had a much better today at work (as is usual for my second day of the week at work). We had the joint devotions at lunch time and after that a bunch of us went over to the harvester for lunch whcih was really good. Left the office just before 5pm and had a normally bad journey home. I saw a car on fire on the south bound carriage way of the M25. Got home about 7.10pm and unpacked the car and got changed. Then we went to Blow Your Cover at church. That was really good. Much better than last week. Popped into the petrol station on the way home to pick up some bread and milk and then got home about 10.40pm

Got up extra early as I hadn't packed or done anything for going to work. Got in he car by about 6.25am Just about got work a few minutes past 9am Had a bit of a grim day (as is usual for my first day of the week at work). I went for a walk at lunch time with Fiona which was nice. We went a different way and found a funny new little village type development all very modern brand new houses but the village looked like something out of a children's programme. It was very surreal. Deadly quite and in the middle no where. That evening I just pottered around at the B+B until about 7pm and then went to the high street to fill the car up and get money out etc. For dinner I went to Harvester next to the World Vision offices. That was alright but it was weird to see so many people sitting on their own!. Got back to the B&B about 9ish and then watched a bit of `Matrix: Reloaded` on the TV

Walk On The Downs With Church

Got up a bit later today (8.30am) and had breakfast Dad came down about 9.45am. Fiona left about 10.30am and then Andrea, Me and Dad left to go to Anne and Mikes about 10.45am. Got to theirs and went straight out on the walk that Mike had organised. There were 11 people from church. It was a really good 5 mile walk around Ballsdean and Woodingdean. It had been really awful and rainy first thing but by the time we got to Anne and Mikes it was really nice and sunny. We got back to Anne and Mikes about 3pm or so and we all had tea and cake in the garden which was very nice and then Andrea, Dad and Me came home for a bit. Andrea prepared some stuff for Livewires tomorrow and Me and Dad watched a bit of the snooker. I also did some preparation for my talk at the Lyndhurst Rest Home. Then at about 7pm we went to Badgers Watch with Dad and swung by Anne and Mikes to pick them up too. That was a good to have a meal all together. Then we all went back to Anne and Mikes and watched some more of the snooker final. We were only going to stay to watch 1 frame but it was the longest frame ever! It went on for a hour and 15 minutes! So we left before the end and came home and went to bed.
